This Temple is my Grand Father Alwar Kurichi Avoodai Nayagam Pillai and his Father Marudhappa Pillai's native Place. My Grand Grand Father Marudhappa Pillai constructed this Narayana Swamy Temple and also he helped the poor people of the Alwarkurichi and became a Saint - on his name, "Nilathaan Kovil" - Temple of the Land Lord is made as "Marudhappa Swamy Temple" just 0.5 km from this Narayana Swamy Temple....go straight and take left and see the Temple and its well also. Near Narayana Swamy Temple there is a store room on the right to keep Garuda Vahanam, Urchavar Pallakku etc. The Temple is now maintained by our Thatha Avoodai Nayagam Pillais brothers son Lakshmana Pillai and his varisugal. This is our Kula Deivam Kovil. Alwar Kurichi Avoodai Nayagam Pillai and his Elder Sister Vedha Valli settled at Panagudi near Valliyur on road to Nagercoil. Vedha Vallis daughter is married to Tuticorin Ship Runner, Lawyer, Famous Freedom Fighter Ottapidaram, Umarikkottai VO Chidambaram Pillais son. VO Chidambaram Pillais always visited his daughters house at Panagudi. Now from Panagudi, Avoodai Nayagam Pillais sons Kumarappa Pillai, Velayudham Pillai, Nataraja Pillai and his sons Vellore Pasupathi Pillai, Kuwait Avoodai Nayagam Pillai, Adi Narayanan Pillai Singapore used to visit this Narayana Swamy Temple every year and do the Kula Deiva Valipadu, Poojai, Thiruvizha etc.

tLooks like the hostel during 1970s, though the title given is Mass BCA! With two wings opposite each other and the connecting portion serving as the mess. The college at that time as in the school premises and shifted during middle of the year. Great days for all the unpolluted minds. Wish, God gives everyone a second chance to relive those days.

I am from Sivasailam.Studied here during 1960 - 1963.Finished SSLC heree and studied PUC in Paramakalyani College.Mr.K.Subramaniam was my HM. I am proud to scribe that M/s.S.Ramakrishnan (Maths), S.Krishnan,Rama.Kuthalingam(Tamil) R.Narayanan (Science), Sundararaman(Social)R.Sankaranarayanan (English) and Mrs.Seethalakshmi (Music) and Padmanaban (Hindi) were my masters.Dedication and sincerirt were their motto. I was able to reach the ladders of promition in the T.N.Civil Service cadre (DRO).All because of the coaching I got from the stalwarts.Those were the days when we sudied played and were nourished with good habits by the Masters. We were 40, 11 Girls and 29 boys.Friends from Karuthapillayur, Pottalpudur, Alwarkurichi and Ambur. If I remember correct M/s.Ravindran,worked as Professor, S.Gomathinayagam as PG Assistant, S.Natarajan,Engineer and Paramasivan also Engineer Among the girls Mrs.Annie was in Sivasailam as Teacher and about others I could not mention. Oh! it is49 yrs backe.Memories are sweet. A golden period we had at Sri.Paramakalyani. Now I am at Cuddalore.9443109437.
